So this is what happens when a bean bag explodes…

After a trip to the hardware store for a shop vac and 3 hours of vacuuming, it’s mostly cleaned up. Although I’m sure we’ll keep finding these little buggers around the house for the next few weeks…

But, we might as well play for a bit in the mess, because photos:)

Carlin…wow! Fantastic pics. My greatest admiration is that even though it was a mess the sweet mama in you said, “There’s another way to view this!”ReplyCancel

A Super Mario Brothers Halloween

Jack & Felix have been really into Mario & Luigi this year. Super Mario Brothers on the Original Nintendo was pretty much the only game that I liked playing as a kid, and one of the only games I was any good at. Actually, that’s probably still true:) If I play with Stephen and the boys I have to be careful to not get too swept up in it, or I’ll be yelling “GET IN YOUR BUBBLE!” when someone is falling off the screen. I also still have a tendency to yank the controller up and down and to the side when I want to make my character jump.

We bought the boys costumes a few weeks before Halloween and they wanted to dress up in them every single day. They would bump their big tummies together and make each other fall down and giggle. It’s hilarious. They would also pretend to rescue me (as Princess Peach), will bow and lower their hats, saying “Your Majesty”.

My nephew Matthew came along with us dressed up as Toad, Felix was Mario, and Jack was Luigi. I think the characters suited them perfectly.

It’s pretty much a rule in our house that when we get the first decent snowfall of the season, we go out to play.
